to the contrary - I have found that a combination of Rutin, powdered or crystal Vitamin C (from Ascorbic Acid), and Bioflavonoid Complex taken in MEGA dosage does wonders for quelling a flare up of Hemmorhoids. I recommended this to a friend who was about to get Hem surgery, and it worked so well he cancelled the surgery!

As far as Vitamin C making you feel worse regarding overall wellness - my guess is that the Vitamins are bringing OUT a sickness, not bringing it on. Therefore, to continue taking the vitamin should expel the sickness, never to return.
