For about a year now I have not been able to sleep in a bed. After I lay down for 2-3 hours I get low back (thorasic) pain that is so severe I can barely turn to get out of bed, sometimes it is also very hard to beath, after I am up for a couple of hours I'm fine. I have no pain during the day and lead a very active life style with no problems, I have been to 4 doc. 1 nerve specialist, 2 chryopractors, I have been to the minnesota institute for low back pain, 1 active release theropist, I have had 3 sets of x-rays, 2 mri's and a ct scan, I have also had a discocardiogram and a bone density scan, they have checked for arthritus, tummurs, and cancer, I have also had 6 diffrent cortazone shots and a nerve site injection. this week I am going in for a nerve branch numming and if that seems to cure the pain they are talking about coterizing the nerv to kill it.
My muscles that run along side my spine are always rock hard and I have tried enough muscle relaxers to knock down a horse, I also have been taking about 2,000 mg. of vicodin for the pain. the only thing that seems to help are the 2 a week massages I have been getting.
This pain came on gradually and happens everynight unless I sleep in a chair.
I have also tried pillows (everyware) new bed(s), and weight lifting.
I cannot go on much longer with the pain if this does not work, I quit.

GOD give someone out threr the answer.

Mike
