Well it's true not everyone will have detox symptoms from reflexology, some people don't have any. A good firm foot massage can cause detox symptoms but generally won't - with reflexology you're actually performing specialised movements on pressure points, kind of similar to acupressure points, so the effect would be more noticeable. You might have had such a reaction because you've never stimulated those points before - once you get used to it I reckon the reaction won't be so strong
