If you look throughout history at "faster's" Ghandi, Jesus, Mandela, it is often to show the strenghth of human character and determination.

Not that I qualify to be listed among those, but my boyfriend said last night how proud he was of me, and how people who fast are "wise" and show their character.

maybe we do it for the same reason Lance Armstrong wanted to win his 5th Tour-de France: to prove that he could.

There are many reasons why we try, why we fail, and why we keep going.

It is all part of the interesting journey called life.

BTW, I am 34, single (ivorced single mom), never tried anything like this before, not overweight, but certainly out of shape, and have been feeding my body crud for years!!!!
