Rudenski

I could not get the phrase 'nine bells' out of my mind - it sounded so familiar. So I searched and I found that it is also referred to as the 'Nine Tailors', and it's the ringing of the church bells in a parish or village to signify that someone has died. For a man, the bell strikes nine times, for a woman six, and for a child, three.

Both sides of yourself were in the ring, and were willing participants in the fight. I feel almost that the passive opponent - the 'voluntary victim' sacrificed himself so that you might come face to face with the reality of the horror of the situation.

Perhaps as a result of some inner struggle that you have been having, your subconscious was giving you a cautionary tale - the feelings of horror and dismay that you have at the act you committed in your dream, and the desire you have to divorce yourself from the act - to kick the murderer out of your soul - seem almost to be instant karma for the deed.

The wholeness maybe comes in where the two sides of you in the dream merge - the dark side, consumed by momentary insanity, and the blank, nondescript - almost serene? opponent whose death woke you up to the futility of the fight.... maybe not.

The dream you had where you were a German fighter pilot sounds very much like a past life insight - do you think it was?

I hope my musings and ramblings have helped you to figure out your dream :)
