short dream description but i would say that this sounds like the dream is advising you to stop running away from your problems, return to the present moment and deal with them. losing a loved one is dificult and sometimes we wish we could join them where they are at. but our life is in the here and now, if your husband could talk to you he would tell you to be here for your kids.

the world may in fact end, but thats not your problem. just stay in this presnet moment ("home" in your dream i interpret to mean the present moment as opposed to running off in your mind to someplace else you think is more comforting) and deal with the problems of right now. you will be surprised at how much progress you can make when you stop avoiding your life. i am sorry to hear about your husband.
