Sorry it has taken me so long to take a look at your dream...

Let's see - it really is impossible for me to say if it is a prophetic dream or, like others say, just a wishful dream.

I'm afraid I don't have a lot of insight for you! (quite possibly the part of my mind/heart that gathers insight has been drained outta me! I hope not, but it kinda feels that way)

Are you married too?

The telephone conversation is interesting because when telephone's are involved - real messages are being received telepathically. Perhaps his wife actually wants a divorce herself!? (this is far-fetched but just had to say it) Perhaps despite is fearful feelings about splitting up - your souls WERE connecting through the night and he was giving you a message of Love - that no matter what is to happen your Souls DO love each other.

The setting is interesting - why was it set in your mother's home in the past? Did something happen to you at that time in your life that really affected your life? Perhaps curtailed your own Freedom?

If you are married - what about your own Freedom? Hmmm.....

I'm afraid I'm not much help!

If he is pulling away - all you can do is let him go. If you two were meant to be together it'll happen - in time. It takes some people years to leave their partners, you know...he is probably in total turmoil. Be understanding and let the rope out - it's all you can do.

The dream IS encouraging! Maybe he is telling you (soul-level wise) to sit tight...he loves you and always will...and THAT is something...
