Some of your dream was exactly in the dictionary!
In general, as you say, the baby symbolizes innocence, warmth and new beginnings. But you are resisting it. The crying symbolizes deprivation. But the hungry - maybe relying on others too much. Are you looking to others for self-fulfillment? And the extreme small size - this was word for word in the dictionary - possibly about feeling helpless and afraid of others knowing your vulnerabilities and incompetence (sounds harsh I know but that's what it said). It makes sense in your dream: handing over the baby and the fact that it needed attention (crying and small) may symbolize your fear to ask for help. Either that or your vulnerability. But both tie together don't they? Vulnerable to others?

You **had** to shower (spiritual/physical renewal) and the baby needed to be watched......maybe you do need help in real life with this new emergence.

Maybe you are needing something or understanding from others that you think they won't support - related to your 'new beginning'.

I think this is a great dream with a lot of insight. If I may, I would say be as gentle as possible with your 'new baby' self. Welcome it into the world. It needs to know it is welcome in order to grow and thrive. It needs to know it will be cared for.

I know from experience that I have shamed my Self so badly, it needs lots of encouragement to re-emerge and re-establish itself.
