I tried to look for evidence of this online, but found nothing. In fact I found the following (link below). Scroll to the very bottom of the page and you will find the following:

"2.3.2 Anti-nutritional and toxic factors
The seeds of legumes and other plants contain a wide variety of toxic and potentially toxic substances ...

...Goitrogens

Goitrogen effects have only been demonstrated in two legume seeds, the soyabean and the groundnut."


If you have evidence to the contrary, I would love to see it.
