Southern Belle,

I can assure you, you do NOT want to hear me play this thing!

It isn't even a real lute. My boyfriend got it free at some banquet he was working at and gave it to me as kind of a joke gift, since he heard me say that I wanted to learn how to play a (real) lute sometime.

It's a really cheaply made little thing that really doesn't sound very lovely to hear, but we get a lot of laughs out of it. And it really DOES summon my kitties. But singing, piano, and ANY form of music summons the cats.

I don't know why any spirits would feel DRAWN to my playing of this little lute! I'm no musician, and the lute can hardly pass for a real instrament!

But maybe there is something about the tones that summon the spirits? Maybe I will try playing it again tonight before bedtime, and then ask for another visitation...?

I'll let you all know how it goes...
