I can't answer your question but the flax oil I use says to keep it refrigerated.
I use flax oil from Omega Nutrition. Their website is http://www.omeganutrition.com/.
Maybe you can find your answer there.

You can also try http://www.barleans.com/. Barlean's is another good brand of flax oil.
