You seem to be bringing up the fact that it has been written that this path is "the" way
If you really look inside your heart that is exactly what you are doing by being hell bent on discrediting it

Greg, that is not my intent. I am just sharing MY awarenss concerning this particular path. People can do with the info what they choose. If you are happy doing it by all means do it. Sharing my truth and awareness in a public forum is all I am doing.

Also let me point out something to you, if I may? I have never attacked Nancy in any way. I have discussed a belief system...not Nancy. However it seems as you want to try and make this into something it is not. I have no intent on attacking anyone. You are free to attack me though if you like, if that helps you in any way :)

Being that this is a holistic health site, should everyone stop posting the witness of "their" truth concerning what they experience when it comes to the negative effects of certain toxins, or drugs, etc, or alternative therapies because it may "offend" someone who isn't aware of that method or path?
Not at all in my opinion. These are opinions. In this case, I am just backing mine up concerning eckankar's mysterious beginnings and operations.

My intent is not to insist that people can easily follow their own path to source from the inside but to "suggest" it. Discuss it. I find the information that I have provided in the religious debate forum concerning eckankar, most interesting and I am sharing it as part of MY truth and possibly others who may resonate with it. If others choose to be offended by this, I am sorry. That is their shosen response to otherwise indifferent information. We can choose to react in any manner we choose to outside events and situations. Just another aspect of free will.

I suppose it could be perceived that you are "coming down" on me for my viewpoint. I don't choose that response. I choose the response that we are exploring issues of spirituality. I am sorry you appear to feel threatened by that. That was/is not my intent.
Others may even perceive that you may be trying to take the focus off of the points I brought up by feigning being attacked. See the dangers of reading intent? There are many possibilities. A person can read into MY intent what ever they bring to the discussion by way of previous associative conditioning. My intent was to look at a few points that I am aware of about the path of eckankar. The spin offs from this discussion are quite interesting too.

Finally, OF COURSE, we should let people decide their spiritual path. I enjoy allowing people to see ALL sides of an issue in order to make a wise choice regarding paths (especially external ones).

As far as "discrediting" anything, again, that is a label YOU have chosen. I was merely sharing raw data that I have come across concerning this interesting path. Some may find the data favourable and others not. I have no control over that nor would I want any control over that.

When the followers of a mind set say one thing while their guru is quoted as saying another, I get curious.
Especially when the originator of this path has been strongly criticizedt by many credible and knowledgeable sources to be fraudulent. Please see the posts in the debate forum to back this up.

This has been an interesting discussion. I believe that any individual that goes through this thread will get exactly what *they* need or want from it, which will most likely be different in each case.
