Lapis, you asked me what do the leaders of ECK say about all paths leading home. From my 30 years in Eckankar I’ve come to understand that each of us is Soul and each of us is unfolding spiritually on our journey back home to God. When someone follows a path different from mine, or chooses not to follow an organized religion (that was me until I was about 25), how can I not respect that person, because they are a spark of God, just as I am. This is what I’ve learned in Eckankar, and this is what I believe with all my heart. We are here to learn to give and receive divine love. Above all, the Spiritual Leader, Harold Klemp, talks about love.

I found in Ghana there could be among some a religious intolerance, perhaps due in part to tribal customs interacting with the various religious traditions that include Muslims and Christians. This can also happen in the other West African countries including Nigeria, Togo, and Benin.

Lapis, if you’re ever looking for a unique vacation experience, consider Ghana. Many people speak English and it is part of their culture to make guests feel welcome. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
