Yes. Even the clothes we wear has an effect. Some days I'm more drawn to certain colors- they feel right. But I've also noticed the short-term , daily, favored colors are also tied to the daily lunar sign positions- e.g. moon in Leo, I'll subconsciously feel like wearing red, along with most people. Long-term color resonances do have chakra associations- with me, I like the colors that go with my more open chakras. And when I paint (mostly abstract) I notice I use colors that my subconscious needs- as you said, to compensate for over/underactive chakras.
