I'm getting a thalium exercise stress test next week. I've been having some weird heart "pangs" - occasional pains in and around the heart area. My cardiologist suggested a regular stress test but I've heard that a thalium stress test can show up to 90% of any cardiac problems whereas the regular stress test can only show up to 60%.

Just how toxic is the thalium injection?
