I agree totally. I have been greying early in my opinion, and I have been exploring deficiencies as a root cause(pardon the pun). I know that I have had some absorption issues in the past few years, and am taking active steps to heal them. I also feel that this absorption problem took a major toll on my mineral balances. Not to mention my 'past life' tendencies to consume processed flour and sugars. I have since cut these things out, and am trying to increase my minerals and vitamins thru both diet and supplementation. I know that supplements are not a preferred option for vitamins, but my improvements after including them has been fairly remarkable.

I am also inclined to wonder if low tyrosine could be a contributing cause. I have been a vegetarian for many years, eating way too many simple carbs, and with a faulty absorption system, that deficiency could have affected my melanin production mechanisms.

I have also read that head hair is dependent on the state of the kidneys and liver. I am doing a series of liver flushes, but have not done a specific kidney cleanse except to try to drink 1/2 my body weight in water each day. So far, no change in my hair, so I may need a more thorough kidney cleanse.

I would really appreciate any feedback that Andreas can give on this topic. While it is esoteric, I believe it is a sign of poor aging, and a red flag for inadequate nutritional health.
