Dear Jessica,

Every healthy pregnant mother will reduce iron levels as she approahces delivery. The iron drops gradually so as not to up upset the body. This response is natural. By the eighth months the iron drop is much substantial and reaches a peak just before delivery. All this is to prevent infection of the blood during deliver, when the body has a huge, open, gushing wound. By keeping the iron at the lowest possible level, the liver makes sure no airborne bacteria or otherwise transmitted germs are attracted to the blood and enter it. Some women need to lower their iron more than others, but all do that purely for self-defense and protection of the baby. Giving women iron supplements can actually risk their lives. To blackmail them by telling them they may need a blood transfusion is malpractice. I suggest you change doctors and look for someone who does natural births (at home). Besides, all that, women have lower hemoglobin levels than men and should not be compared with the average "normal" for men. In any case, there was never any research to show what normal iron levels should be like, quite amazingly, though.

One other thing, when you give birth to your child, make certain they don't clmap or cut the umbilical cord before it stops throbbing. It is commmon malpractice to cut it way too early. The result is that the baby only has about 70% or less of the blood in the body, the rest of it is trapped in the mother's placenta. This marketly reduces the amount of antibodies the baby needs to have in its blood from the mother and it also prevents the baby's blood being completely cleansed and filtered by the placenta during the first 30-50 minutes after the baby is born )more information in Timeless Secrets of Health & Rejuvenation). Many childhood dieases can be prevented by getting all antibodies into the baby's body and all toxins out. Nature is perfect. Observing and trusting it keeps you safe. Modern medicine does little observing and almost trusting in the laws of nature, but easily sees problems when they actual solutions.

Blessings to you and your precious child,
Andreas
