I don't recommend anyone doing liver cleanses without thoroughly cleansing the bowel before and after. Some get away with it, but others don't, especially those with sensitive stomachs. Stones can remain trapped in colon and cause strictures which can lead to backflushing of waste, toxins and bacteria. Softer stones may disintegrate in the colon and become a source of intense toxicity, weakening the immune system and overtaxing the lymph system. It is a risk I would not take.

Many young people having acne in teenagehood don't have it later in life. Facial skin is very thin and eliminates toxins more readily. Hormonal changes may be involved, but the connective tissue underneath the skin (especially in the face and neck)becomes so densely packed with acidic waste due to dietary and digestive issues that it acts like a filter, preventing the skin from eliminating these toxins. That's why you often see so many very toxic, overweight people to having no skin problems. But their internal organs become damaged instead.

You may have had a major gas bubble building up, causing you that discomfort in the colon and lower back. There is no need to be scared of washing out the intestines, it has been done for thousands of years. It is certainly saver than not doing it.
Cleansing the three main organs (see my book) is better and more effective than taking supplements.
