I ran into serious problems not doing colonics before and after liver cleansing. It started around my 6th or 7th cleanse, my lower stomach area would swell and fill up with gas that would not release. It got so bad that during an attack I could barely move and my right side and shoulder were in severe pain too. I had never experienced any pain like that before in my life, very scarey. I was ready to go to the emergency room and have my gallbladder removed! I decided to do another flush and got some relief but it happened again. I was reading Andeas's book at the time and decided to contact him before I did anything else. He suggested I get a colonic and follow the book's liver cleanse directions. I had immediate relief after the colonic and it has been smooth sailing since! (Thanks Andreas!). The reason I skipped the colonics was due to financial reasons. Andreas suggested I buy a colema board on ebay ($120.00). It has payed for itself over and over, best investment I made in 2004! Another reason I thought I did not need to do colonics before and after was that my bowels seemed normal between the flushes and I thought the epsom salts took care of the rest. I hope my story helps you, and everyone, to realize how important colonics are before and after liver cleansing. Best of luck to you!
