This is such an interesting question. I can relate with you on some levels. While I have never concentrated on negative outcomes to make something good happen, I do tend to concentrate on the worst case scenarios and secretly hope the outcome of situations will would be better. In my case, I have actively studied and tried to apply positive thinking and seem to fail horribly. I have been disappointed so many times, I am almost afraid to pray. This lack of faith is so stressful and discouraging because it goes against what I believe. Yet the results from applying faith and positive thinking have been so bad, I'm not sure what to believe or to do.
By the way. are you left handed? I am, and have often wondered if this is why I feel so out of sync with most of the world. I have been battling chronic pain for nearly three years, I have prayed and been prayed for, I have fasted and done every kind of cleanse I think might help with no avail. Now I wonder if this "reverse wiring" might be a key. I join you in looking forward to Andreas' answer.
