Has anybody heard any confirmed reports that Tortuga Island has vanished under water ?
Apparantly an expedition of UN officials were dispatched to evaluate the damage to the Island of Tortuga. The message stated "we cannot find the island" and is now being reported all 26,000 inhabitants may have perished.
Does anyone know about the island and it's 26,000 inhabitants please?

We have just read a breaking news report on the www.earthchangestv.com but cannot find any other confirmed reports.
It sounds like major news and yet we have just watched the BBC news here in the UK and there is NO mention of it ??
And now I am thinking is it either untrue or just not deemed newsworthy by the British media. Perhaps it is a hoax as i cannot find any other information on the internet....nothing is confirmed on any other sites I have visited.
www.earthchangestv.com is saying that the entire Island along with its 26,000 inhabitants have been washed away as a result of hurricane Jeanne.

My partner and I have just surfed Applemacs WorldBook and have to say "we too cannot find the island".
Does anyone know about the island and it's 26,000 inhabitants please?
