I realise that being told you are insulin resistant means that your doc hasn't yet classed you as diabetic. Though it is essentially the same issue that type two diabetes have I believe, maybe not to an 'official level' as diabetes. So I think you may find it useful to read Andreas's posts from the past few weeks. He responded to two questions with very detailed explainations of how protein intake can make matters worse for diabetics. One post was something like "is type-2 diabetes curable" and the other was "reversing insulin dependant diabetes". Both of these posts were in the 3-6 weeks ago range. They are worth searching the archives for. I remember them well because I was helping a diabetic friend of mine.
