So sorry to hear about your husband. There is much information out there as I am findinig, on natural treatments. I refuse to go on those meds although mine is pretty much sleeping at the moment. I have found a natural doctor in my area and plan on giving him a visit real soon on this Hep C issue.
I used to think doctors were everything when it comes to health, but I have learned over the past few years. I don't trust them on everything. The medications they prescribe go through clinical studies and they use that info only. They then prescribe the drugs to millions of people only later to find out that the long term effects can even kill some. When I hear of the side effects of the Hep C treatment that tells me something right there and for me I want no part of it.
Don't get me wrong, I think doctors are very smart people and have studied very hard to get where they are at. The problem is that they are almost forced into giving medication and lured away from natural therapies do to our present health system in the United States. I am sure many of them only wish they could learn of the natural treatments that are out there.
I was reading a story the other day how years ago every doctor who went to Case Western Medical school used to get training in some different types of medicine such as Indian medicine, African medicine, chinese medicine by this doctor who traveled the world to learn it all. This was all a part of thier training. Then some head hauncho came in and threw him out of the school and the studying doctors no more got those classes. That doctor does still have his own practice but is not allowed to teach the classes anymore.
I think medicine does have it's place but as a last resort or in instances of emergencies.
Good luck to you and your husband
