Dear Andreas,

I am curious. If a medical doctor finds a lot of white patches showing up around your liver on an ultrasound, and tells you that it means you have a "fatty liver", is it possible it's really *just* stone congestion?

Would a heavily packed liver full of stones (that isn't really a fatty liver) show up on an ultrasound appearing to be a "fatty liver"?

In order to really make sure a liver is a real case of fatty liver, don't they need to do a biopsy?

Or is an ultrasound just as accurate?

Thanks!

Anni.
