I did write Dr. Galen Knight who is a researcher on DE and parasites. As soon as she gives me permission to publish her response I'll put it on the forum. Her conclusions from the test results indicate that DE only stays in the intestinal tract and never goes into the blood stream (drag!). In part, this is good news because most of the parasites and deadly amebic pathogens that are in the intestines, especially the larger ones, that can be destroyed by DE; however, others do migrate elsewhere.

Dr. Knight was very clear about using DE Flour not regular DE -- I believe this was stated earlier, but very important to emphasize.

The benefits of using DE is enormous because it slices into the parasites and kills them. No other product does this. Also, someone had concerned about the aluminum. According to Dr. Knight, it is relatively low will not affect you.

I wrote to Dr. Galen Knight about DE. She wrote me back (hopefully, she'll allow me to post it here.) According to her research, along with a university, they did several test. It was clear that DE kills ALL pathogens, including the most destructive ones like Blasto, and intestinal parasites.

She was also very clear about not using regular DE, but DE Flour by PermaGuard.

Hope that helps -- if you have any other pathogens other than giardia, this would do it. If you read the IBS post, you'll understand the difficulty in the other pathogen's detections and misdiagnosis. Why take the chance and spend more money on tests & meds? Try the DE -- it's very cheap!

DE is good for blood pressure and removing some toxic metals

Found this for anyone who needs it.

Methodology:

Servings Per Container: 12 servings at 1 Tbs daily =12 days. DE should be used 10 days on and 10 days off for 90 days.
Take 1 tablespoon daily in juice, water, or tea.

Methodology for Children: children 2 to 6 - : 1 tsp 3 times daily for 90 days.

Methodology for Dogs: - 1 tsp in each bowl of food 1 tsp 3 times daily for 90 days.

WARNING: Do not inhale product. Dust may cause eye and respiratory irritation. Keep out of reach of children.

To make Silica Connection water, add 1/2 teaspoon of Silacure powder to 1 quart of distilled water and bring to a boil, then stir for about 3 minutes. You must use distilled water because it dissolves better. Do not boil the water in aluminum pans and do not microwave Silica Connection. Some silica may still settle out, but if that happens just stir or shake it. The whole purpose is to dissolve the silica in distilled water so as to increase the bioavailability of silica for absorption into the blood stream. I then drink it like a hot tea or cool it and fill my water bottle with this solution. I try to drink it throughout the day and not all at once.

DE improves digestion because it's an anti-caking agent: it helps separates the pieces of food and thus helps the work of enzymes and the digestive process in general.
