Should we be questioning these "authorities" (???) ... I mean, when we consider all the other things the "experts" have been telling us? Or do these recommendations come from thyroid patients who've experienced negative reactions to certain foods? And wouldn't that be an individual matter? Hope you'll pardon my ignorance of this subject.
