I don't know if probiotics will help your pain (I doubt it), but in general, anytime someone takes anti-microbials (whether herbal or prescriptive), taking probiotics at the same time is recommended by many alt med physicians. Separate the intake of anti-microbials and probiotics by at least 2 hrs to reduce the potential harm to the probiotics.
