I DID answer your question. I have not used either, but this class of products are known for producing diarrhea and so I would not recommend them for long-term use. It is not necessary to take a large quantity of Epsom Salts and it will not taste that bad. Some people add it to juice and do not find the taste objectionable. Another option is to put it in capsules...you can purchase empty caps at health food stores.
If fiber works for you, I would stick with that...it has additional benefits to keeping the bowels moving (ie. strengthens bowel muscle, helps reduce cholesterol, etc.) even if it takes a bit of effort to take it every day.
If you can't afford colonics, doing enemas yourself is another alternative...as I mentioned above.
IMHO the best method for removing the old gunk is a program called Holistic Horizons. This is my favorite colon cleanse, but it is not a quick fix and it is rather expensive. An alternative is psyllium and Bentonite shakes. If you go to the Bowel Cleanse FAQ you will see several postings that will give you further info.
Thanks for the compliment about having a 'gift'. Actually, I am known for lots of emotion, passion and nurturing...although when I'm answering direct questions I tend to stick with less emotional information.
