For those who do not wish to apply a petroleum product to their body, you can use vitamin E oil or aloe Vera gel. Diaper creams like A&D Ointment, Desitin, or my favorite, Boudreaux's Butt Paste work very well, but may also contain petroleum products.

Also invest in some of the moistened wipes and good quality toilet paper while you are in a sensitive state.
