The shake mixture is quite sticky, so it makes sense that the stuff would stick to other things in the colon and remove them. All I can say is throughout my experience, (I've passed several "ropes"), afterward I feel better, have fuller and easier bowel movements, and my stomach is definitely flatter. It works for me.
