Hopinso,
Ditto on the "warning bells", for sure and for certain!
Having read the majority of your fabulous posts on liver flushing, I'm very impressed with your knowledge, insight, and the way you think (and your tenacity!)...so if I recommend something that is "too basic", please don't assume I'm being disrespectful or 'talking down' to you...I just want to make sure and cover all the bases (or at least the ones I'm aware of :)
Re: eating salad, broccoli, digestion, gas and intolerance...have you tried either Apple Cider Vinegar or HCL supplements (betaine hydrochloride, i.e. stomach acid)? Both increase stomach acid and aid digestion, eliminate gas, and help folks to tolerate raw fiber. HCL supplements (and ACV) are both inexpensive and shouldn't cause problems in experimental dosing. This is one that goes against my logical thought...it would seem like folks that have burning, gas, GERD, heartburn, etc, have too much stomach acid (and that's what the orthodox medical folks tell us). But in actuality, it's a LACK of stomach acid and digestive enzymes that cause the burning, gas & hearburn...because the food sits too long in the stomach undigested, causing burp/gas/cramps which push the normal stomach acid & half-digested food into our esophagus where we can feel it - instead of digesting quickly and 'sliding on through the pipeline'. Come to think of it, that may be helpful in your colon action, as well. Partially digested food is a major cause of colon issues.
As far as weaning off the IF#1 when you start the IF#2...hmmm. Schulze recommends upping the IF#1 by one capsule when you start the IF#2 to ensure you don't experience blockage from the psyllium/bentonite. My husband needed to do that when he started the IF#2, but only for a couple of days. At the end of the week of IF#2, he was taking less IF#1 than he did before he started the IF#2...and after a cleanse & a half, he rarely uses the IF#1 at all. So, if I were in your situation, I'd probably follow the recommendation to increase the IF#1 when starting the IF#2, see how things were coming out (groan) and if everything was moving smoothly (groan again), then I'd experiment with cutting it down or out...to give my colon a chance to get some exercise on it's own. Lots of water, of course! I think Schulze says 8 ounces with every IF#2 dose, but I tried to drink 16 ounces.
It's my thought that when our bodies are in basic functioning order, one shouldn't use/depend upon alot of supplements to achieve natural states of health, but rather, use juicing and organic foods & cleanses to get our health back. But I don't think that's necessarily the case when we're dealing with a body that has major issues. I think it's far more important to first achieve successful digestion and bowel activity (no matter how many supplements), so the body can focus it's energy on healing the bigger problem. Personally, I'd get my bowels moving and my digestion working, no matter what I had to take, so that me & my body could focus on the bigger issues with greater success...and worry about weaning off the supplements after I'd achieved healing of the greater issues. I might be bass-ackwards on that, but that's what makes sense to me.
I'm not going to have much time in the next couple of days to be posting, but I'll definitely send my prayers for you heavenward :) If you don't mind me asking for my own information and 'putting together the puzzle pieces': do you take something daily like SuperFood to assure your body has all the power to fight that it needs? If so, what product? Have you ever attacked this whole situation with an organized/planned organic juice 'blitz'? details? What is the original/major cause of your pain & weakness?
Hopinso, I know constant pain & weakness can really break down courage, tenacity and hopefulness...but I also know that God intended our bodies to work properly, and that this is DEFINITELY a fight you will win! It's not a battle that you really have to worry about losing...it's just a fight that you have to go through the steps and find the right strategy for. Don't ever let yourself doubt that truth!!
Huge blessings!
