Hi creativegirl, word of mouth usually produces the best referrals, so I encourage you to check with local healhfood emporium you mentioned. Again, seek out LMT's for their suggestions.

Once you get the names of a few colon therapists, call them and just ask any questions you have and this should help you decide if you think you might feel comfortable visiting them.

Once you narrow your list down to say 2 or maybe 3 potential practitioners, ask if you can visit their studios so you can meet them personally and evaluate their facilities. Look especially for cleanliness and neatness. Everything should give you the feeling of a first class operation. Ask about how they sterilize their equipment between clients. By the time you leave you should have a pretty good idea if you would like that individual to treat you.

You'll know when you find the right therapist for you.

Best wishes and good luck in your search!

Valerie
