Hi #44982,
A deep cleansing series enema can be nearly as effective as a colonic. Maybe as effective but it takes a lot of time and a real dedication to the job. It also take many trials to find just the right combination of the type of enema solution and volume of liquid to reach the caecum. This is discouraging to many people and they find it easier just to pay a professional to do it for them.
It takes me at least 4 hours to take a deep cleansing series enema. When I’m done with the cleansing part I usually take a coffee retention enema for Liver Cleansing or a saline solution enema for rehydrating my bowels. This I find is a plus you get for taking enemas. By the time I am completely done (this includes cleaning the equipment) 6 hours of my time is used up. A colonic usually does not take much over an hour even if you include the waiting time.
Another advantage I find is when I go on a short Bowel Cleanse with my PBC shakes (3 to 5 days with 5 shakes daily), every day I take deep cleansing enemas usually ending with a coffee retention enema. Getting this many colonics would be quite a financial drain. I find that these short Bowel Cleanses plus Liver Flushes are very effective in keeping my body healthy.
