They are very (in my opinion) inconsistent and vague when it comes to dosage, both for the cleanse and the maintenance. First of all, they say to keep going up in dose until one reaches 3 to 5 movements per day. I only had one, in the morning, but I really felt it totally cleaned me out, and that was on 10 - which I thought was plenty. Then, they don't really say whey the "cleanse" should last a week. Wouldn't that be different for each person? And they give no guidelines as to how one is supposed to know if one is "clean"! I've read conflicting things. First, they said you are clean when your bowel movements are formed. But then I read that at high doses, OP will just keep on liquefying everything and the BMs won't be formed until you find the "maintenance" dose that causes that to happen. So I'm still confused as to how I know the "cleanse" worked. I have repeated emailed the Oxypowder people asking about Mucoid Plaque and whether their product removes it. No response. On the forum sponsored by the Oxypowder company, "someone" (whose username has "doctor" in it and seems to represent the company loosely) said that it did. When I inquired further as to WHEN it removes it and how long it takes and whether MP is continually being removed even on maintenance, they did not answer.
SO - (sorry such a long winded answer) - my take is that Oxypowder is a good product if you are stopped up and constipated. It will keep things going that's for sure. I have NO clear idea, however, how long to "cleanse", what the proper maintenance dose it, and whether it does remove plaque.
I know I've strayed from your question but I think the answer is in here someplace! LOL
Take care
