When you are taking plain water enemas, the water is absorbed through the colon wall which can contribute to edema. I would suggest that following elimination from a coffee enema, that rather than using plain water that you consider saline solution instead.

Saline solution (1 teaspoon Sea Salt or regular table salt to each pint of plain water) is what is called isotonic. It neither draws water out of your system nor results in water being absorbed into the colon from the enema.
