Yes, and worse, when we do point out these things, the tired fallback position is "well, unbelievers just can't understand it", as if there's something inherently wrong with us.

Oh, we understand it all right.

The Bush cheerleading squad hasn't once refuted any datum any of us "conspiracy theorists" have offered. They just continue to repeat how evil Saddam Hussein is, how he murders his own people (were the Native Americas our own people, too, or were they not-our-people?) as if we didn't already agree in some measure and that repeating these things will somehow suddenly make it more true, and we'll all just snap into line and confess that yes, non-murderous war-based killing is, in fact, always the best choice.

*sigh*

I hope for everyone's sake that I'm completely wrong. But since I have the advantages of historical data showing a demonstrable pattern and the willingness to evaluate data before rejecting it simply because it doesn't match my pre-conceived notions -- I'm pretty sure my opinion about this war and our government does not diverge all that much from reality.

All the Bush cheerleaders can do is invoke name-calling ("conspiracy theorist" is the favorite) and cling to their precious biases.

And I'm still waiting to see stofurz actually do anything to genuinely help someone on this web site.
