They ARE praying for themselves, but I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of American troops LIKE President Bush. Watch when he steps off the "Marine One" helicopter. Observe as the Marine who mans the door of this aircraft turns, faces the president and smartly salutes. Continue watching as the Marine holds the salute as President Bush walks away. This is called RESPECT. Whenever clinton was in office, these salutes (mostly not even returned) were only given because of apropriate military courtesy. The Marines would not turn to face him. Let that show you who is respected by the military folks.
You may think that "it's the economy, stupid" is so much better than moral prosperity. Wrong! I'd rather be poor and destitute knowing I did the right thing with my life than rich & powerful at the expense of right living. I know that, when I die, I will be with God in Heaven. The closest thing I know to hell on this earth is living without God's forgiveness.
Hmm...Funny thing, too, speaking of economics - While I'm far from being "rich" by American 'standards' (no six-figure income...yet), I'm better off now than I was before I met Jesus Christ. Amazing grace............
