I have very similar health problems to you.
My treatment was in New Zealand. I had 45 grams of Vit C via IV prior to each 40 minute session in the chamber.
The reason for my treatments was to clear pesticides from my body. I was reacting so badly to pesticide exposure (and not being able to clear it through normal liver detoxification pathways) that I couldn't see. Hospital treatment had always involved massive doses of steroids and Antibiotics ....I was treated almost every year this year at a hospital. Eye symptoms were always eventually surpressed, but I got sicker and sicker with the drugs, candida cfs etc.
Finally my family doctor referred me for this alternative treatment. I went to the hospital to pick up my usual steroids and pyrimethamine, took a taxi to the airport and flew to the other end of the country for my first chamber treatment. After the first treatment I slept 16 hours and woke with a horrible chemical taste in my mouth. But I could see clearly! I had a further 4 days treatment, threw my steroids etc away and have never looked back. I haven't needed any kind of drug treatment for 10 years this May.
Over all I had three 5 day treatment courses over 2 years. I felt great during the treatment, but it didn't help my cfs in the long term. Of course it did break the cycle of Antibiotics I was caught into so perhaps my cfs would have been a lot worse by now if I hadn't had HBO treatment???...
My understanding is that the HBO treatment "switches on" a particular enzyme system in the liver (superoxide dismutase) and together with the Vit C this enables rapid clearance of various toxins from the body.
It's got to be a good thing, but it's not a cure.
