I want you to know that this is my first attack I have been following a regimen of livejuices, miso soup(good for intestine), pro-biotics, Aloe and anitboitics(forteen days at fist and after two weeks, five days)... for almost last two months. And it seems I am slowely but surely getting better. I am not feeling the level of pain that I had before so bad and had to be on pain medication.
From this, I have noticed my skin improve.
I have always been a fan of nutritional healing for everything, especially since I have a family member who cured with it and watched friends get incredable health from it, so shame on me that I got this right? I think stress took large part in it.
Anyways... I do have some intuition about it and I am going to use them myself.
I think may be it is unwise to eat normal foods after your attack is over if you don't want any more attacks. I think you have to study about what keeps colon healthy...( food combining and taking pro-biotics, and many others.)
And then you still have to eat carefully and in small light meals(I have posted locally to get some info and one man said, that he had an attack few years ago, and have been managing by eating small light meals and haven't gotten another attack. He said that when he gets too cofident and eats large meal from having felt so good, his stomach gets tender and he realizes he can't do it.
I am planning to eat mostly vegitarian once I am fully healed, but being sure to take ample amount of vegitable forms of protein.
I think if you want to avoid surgery and also another attack, you may have to change your way of eating for ever. You have to decide which one.
If you're interested there are alot of books on "live foods" and the benifit of eating that way.
This has been a very scary experience but I am now forced to eat healthy to avoid diverticulitis but will be healthier than before because of it.
How do you feel about looking into changing your eating style for at least for sometime?
