Tell him that we are really just reflections of light - holograms - and that this whole reality is only an illusion designed to trick our minds into thinking that the perceptions we are experiencing are real. The electricity in our bodies defines the senses that we experience, thus, these experiences that we perceive are interpreted as "physical" and "material" objects. The reality is that we are just one consciousness, we never left - we never went anywhere. We've always been here. We just change our perceptions.
