Yes...the magnesium ( Epsom Salts ) causes the diarrea which causes the loss of electrolytes. (appears that way to me, anyway!)

I, too, take less ES at night before the oo drink. I only take 1 tsp in a cup of water for each drink. Then in the morning I take 1 tbsp and if I need the next drink...then I do maybe 1/2 tbsp.

Works for me and I recover quickly.
