For fear of telling you what to do in such a difficult situation I would like to preface this with please take it with a grain of salt. It is very difficult situation you are faced with...I am sure the fear is very real and pressing. I am not a doctor just an avid reader with ideas. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE WHAT I HAVE TO SAY RATHER THAN YOUR INSTINCT AND YOUR DOCTORS!
If I were you and felt bold and sure of my health I would start with only eating fruit, garlic, and tons of water to curb infection.

Also in many countries and years ago here the first thing hospitals would do is give a colonic as this helps rid the body of immediate toxins.

So to sum up make a descion you are comfortable with. If the doctors are holding off anyway it definetly could not hurt for you to have a colonic. If there was improvement afterwards then you could revaluate the situation. Good luck and my prays are sent to you.
