Ana, these are the results from the trimed website. Study 2 of 76 patients had a 100% +ve predictive value. But, for some reason study 1 of 186 patients only had an 86% +ve predictive value. I'm not sure why? But, it still shows that the PYtest is very accurate for H.pylori testing.

I'm not sure if advil caused your ulcer? H.pylori has a much higher % of causing an ulcer. You may want to do another test for H.pylori using this breathe test method. Even though you tested -ve for it last time. How confident are you with your doctor? Personally, I don't trust mine. She pretty much wanted to get rid of me the moment I suggested that I may have a bacterial infection. She was being sarcastic and made stupid comment like, "if I had pnuemonia and I coughed all over your face, that doesn't mean you'll catch it". So, now I need to get a different doctor. It's difficult being sick as it is, but to have a doctor like this makes it even much worst. Because, she doesn't have any interest in helping me. Anyways, I have to wait until the end of the month to change my PCP according to my medical plan.
