I'm not a health professional either, but I do believe strongly (as do, I think, many others on this site) that there
are excellent alternatives to surgery. Yes they do take some time and you have to be patient. I would urge
you not to go under the knife, perhaps POSTPONE your surgery until you've had a chance to try some
alternatives. Then you can always cancel. But if you have the surgery hastily, you may regret it later.

Good luck. I think you'll find support in these forums if you need it. Most of all, don't be afraid.
