MSM is sulfur. I don't know why they give it that long name.Must be the medical profession did that. They always try to make things sound hard to understand so that we will have to depend on them.
I bought some from a company recently and they sent me a tape with my order that explains what all sulfur does in our bodies. It's incredible. Almost everyone is deficient in this substance. Nothing in our body will work right without sufficient sulfur. It's 1:30 am and I'm too tired now to look up the company that I ordered it from. But I will tell you this: It's well worfth getting.
