gosh...I remember thinking that people on welfare were evil...When I broke my neck the second time....I resorted to foodstamps and lived on a tiny pension of $178 U.S. a month...and I picked up aluminum cans and sold my blood to make it to the end of the month. Once you have been there...how can you think welfare people are evil?...then you keep going...If I was wrong about welfare people...who else deserves a break from my self-righteous indignation?.... When I was down...I even blamed the welfare system that was feeding me and keeping me from sleeping on the ground.
