I have never read anything in the scriptures that would lead me to believe that God can not help you because you are a Jew. And you were right on the money when you expressed how powerful you believe He is! He is alive and working today!
I encourage you to spend time searching in the Bible for your answers. What I think you'd find most interesting is the history of your people in the Old Testament, and how the need for a blood sacrifice for the remission of sins was evident even from the beginning of time. Very interesting.
I pray that the Spirit of Truth will be in operation in your life and in your search.
