I do not pay a great deal of attention to cholesterol... maybe because it is one (maybe the only one) thing that was never out of whack. I have done a little reading recently though on the dangers of cholesterol-lowering drugs, especially statins.

I have also read where too low cholesterol is just as bad or worse than too high. Our bodies produce it because our cells need it and we would be dead without it. I think this may be a case of pharmaceutical disease mongering.

Do a search for statins and\or cholesterol on http://www.mercola.com and http://www.newstarget.com I think either site would give very good and useful information.
