I am a colon hydrotherapist and it is possible that you can lose weight with a series of colonics. HOWEVER, keep in mind that what you are losing is NOT healthy body tissue, but the accumulation of toxic debris that is actually preventing your body from digesting and absorbing nutrients from food. People can have many pounds of this toxic waste trapped in their intestines. This is definitely 'weight' that you want to lose!

Colonics also assist in hydrating the body and retraining the bowel's peristalsis, and are a highly beneficial adjunct to any detoxification program.

Also remember that it is important to balance cleansing with rebuilding so that you do not become too depleted. This can be accomplished by ingesting whole foods with high nutrient content and maintaining a good supplement program. Digestive enzymes are also very beneficial at improving digestion and obtaining nutrients from foods. juicing is an excellent way of obtaining vitamins, minerals and enzymes...and also has a cleansing effect on the body.
