You didn't mention what your cholesterol level was, but if you check out this site you may stop worrying about cholesterol. My doctor told me my cholesterol was high and I should consider medication. I said no thanks, I'm not interested. My cholesterol level was in fact in the high "normal" range. Two of the top selling drugs are cholesterol lowering medications and they produce billions of dollars for the pharmaceutical companies who have a vested interest in making the public believe that high cholesterol is a very serious problem. It is if your cholesterol is through the roof, but for most people it's not.

Remember, doctors are very good at treating trauma but they're very poor at preventative medicine and making people healthy.
